O príncipe Harry prometeu que seu livro de memórias, ainda sem título, será “um relato íntimo e sincero” das “experiências, aventuras, perdas e lições de vida que ajudaram a moldá-lo”.

Segundo reportagem do Daily Mail, há “uma considerável” nos círculos do Palácio de Buckingham em relação à publicação. Os monarcas temem que o príncipe use o livro de memórias para acertar contas com familiares.

A principal preocupação seria em relação a Camilla, madrasta de Harry, apontada ainda hoje como culpada pelo colapso do casamento da princesa Diana e do príncipe Charles.

Segundo o jornal britânico, há 5 anos, Harry convidou alguns amigos de sua mãe para compartilhar lembranças e fotografias particulares dela.

Inicialmente, ele teria justificado o convite afirmando que suas próprias lembranças eram um pouco instáveis. Durante os encontros, ele queria saber especialmente os antecedentes do rompimento do casamento de seus pais. Com alguns íntimos de Diana, ele teria sido mais explícito. Um pelo menos teve uma longa discussão com ele sobre Camilla.

“Ficou bem claro que ele não tinha uma boa opinião sobre ela”, contou a fonte ao Daily Mail. “Ele não foi muito elogioso sobre ela e duvido muito que ele tenha esquecido o que conversamos naquele dia”.

Através do contato com esses amigos de Diana, Harry teria percebido que a princesa foi maltratada não apenas pela mídia, mas também pela casa real — da qual o príncipe também se queixa.

Outra preocupação da monarquia seria a respeito de William, de quem Harry se afastou nos últimos 3 anos. O relacionamento dos dois foi tão prejudicado pelas consequências do exílio e pelas intermináveis críticas de Harry à realeza que alguns questionam se isso pode ser reparado adequadamente.

É impossível saber de antemão sobre o que o marido de Meghan Markle contará em seu livro de memórias, mas especula-se que ele pode relatar o período logo após a morte da mãe.

Harry já mencionou isso em entrevistas descrevendo como ele não conseguiu lidar com as consequências por anos e como isso o levou a um período de “caos total” e um quase “colapso total” em seus 20 anos, até que ele procurou aconselhamento.

Muitos também se perguntam se a publicação esclarecerá como a família de Diana apoiou o príncipe e seu irmão nos meses imediatamente após a morte de sua mãe.
