Já em vídeo publicado no Instagram, João Gordo também comentou sobre a doença: “Eu não estou morrendo, mas eu posso morrer. Eu tenho problema no pulmão, sou DPOC. E quando muda o tempo, eu fico cheio de catarro e não consigo dormir.”
Na legenda da imagem postada ontem na rede social, o artista escreveu: “Quilômetros de cigarro e montanha de maconha, alguns passam ileso, outros não. Pulmãozinho veio de guerra”.
A nebulização que João Gordo faz na foto é um tratamento indicado para desentupir as vias aéreas por meio da inalação de vapor com soro ou medicamentos para umidificar as vias respiratórias. Já o oxímetro é um equipamento que serve para medir o nível de oxigenação do sangue.
A DPOC é basicamente a manifestação de duas doenças respiratórias que obstruem a passagem do ar pelos pulmões: bronquite crônica e enfisema pulmonar, . A doença está intimamente relacionada ao tabagismo e no Brasil estima-se que atinja cerca de 12% da população, sendo um pouco mais comum em homens do que em mulheres.
João Gordo já teve um problema de saúde relacionado aos pulmões em 2000, quando sofreu um derrame pleural e passou 22 dias internados na UTI (Unidade de Terapia Intensiva). Em 2001, ele voltou a ser internado em decorrência de uma disritmia no coração, e ficou hospitalizado por cinco dias.
